Planning Your Production

Our website pages detail the equipment available to you as part of your hire, we have sufficient equipment in house to deliver the requirements for nearly all shows.

We are also able to source additional equipment for you should this be needed; we can liaise with our preferred suppliers to ensure the equipment is delivered to the theatre ready for your production.

Discussing your production with us at the earliest possible opportunity means we can help you make the best use of your time in the theatre.

ORGANISING CREW FOR YOUR PRODUCTION

Through your conversations with our stage manager they will identify how many volunteers are needed to support your production.

These volunteers will:

  • Organise your lighting requirements.
  • Plan and arrange for any items to be flown - arranging curtains, cloths and flat set pieces.
  • Run your show, following your script/running plan
  • Coordinate the rest of the crew.
  • Arrange your special effects - smoke, haze, etc.
  • Operate our two followspots.
  • Operate our stage flying system for scene changes

We ask that you source additional crew to help with movement of scenery on and off the stage as well as looking after and controlling any personal props etc

Please discuss your requirements for sound with us at the earliest opportunity.  We would advise sourcing sound cover as early as possible in your planning for this critical element of your show. We are usually not able to provide volunteer sound operators for large scale productions and we recommend you source this yourself We may be able to provide details of people to approach for sound cover.
