
York Musical Theatre Company perform musical theatre productions and concerts in several York venues. There is a show at York Theatre Royal every year in May and Christmas concerts at National Centre for Early Music. Concerts and productions are also performed at Joseph Rowntree Theatre and Grand Opera House. Past productions at York Theatre Royal include The Slipper and the Rose, May 2011, The Wizard of Oz, May 2010, The Scarlet Pimpernel, May 2008 and many more. The company also performed the UK premiere of Titanic: The Musical in May 2003 at York Theatre Royal.

Me and My Girl

This lively and fun rags-to-riches musical follows cheeky and loveable cockney Bill Snibson as he discovers he’s the heir to an Earldom, but only if he is groomed to perfection and breaks up with his cockney girl Sally. Will Bill be polished into a proper English gent and strike it rich? And will he get to keep his girl?
Following its Olivier Award-winning run in the West End with a script revived by Stephen Fry, this cheerful show features songs to raise the spirits including Leaning on a Lamp Post, Me and My Girl, The Sun Has Got His Hat On and the much loved classic Lambeth Walk. Coward & Cole
An evening of wit and romance from two of the greatest songwriters of the 20th Century featuring the inimitable Paul Laidlaw at the piano

Two illustrious legends of music, theatre and film, these stylish sophisticates, Noel Coward and Cole Porter, have entertained and charmed audiences the world over.
Coward, an English composer and playwright, is known for his sparkling wit, style and ingenuity in comedy. Cole is one of the most famous American composers whose elegant and sophisticated musicals dominated the Broadway stage in the 1930s and still do to this day. With often parallel careers, these two masterminds of the stage and screen met in the 1920s and remained friends for the rest of their lives.
York Musical Theatre Company brings a selection of Coward and Cole’s brilliance to the stage for an evening of de-lovely, delightful and delectable humour, music and pure entertainment.
