Visitor Facilities and Seating

Facilities

The Joseph Rowntree Theatre has the following facilities available to its patrons

  • Induction Loop for the hard of hearing (stalls seats only) accessible by putting your hearing aid into the "T" position.
  • Level Access for wheelchair and less able bodied patrons
  • Space to accommodate 3 wheelchairs within the auditorium (please advise at time of booking)
  • Toilet for wheelchair users
  • Nearby free parking
  • Sales of light refreshments before the show and during the interval
  • Unobstructed sight-lines from all seats

Seating Plan

This plan shows the layout of the seats in the theatre starting from the balcony (top of the diagram), through the stalls with the stage at the bottom of the diagram.

Plan of JRT Seating

All seats within the theatre have an unobstructed line of sight to the stage. Following the auditorium refurbishment in 2003 the seats all have ample leg room. Wheelchair spaces are allocated at the rear of the stalls, with associated seats for assistants to disabled patrons.
