Privacy Information

The theatre collects and processes personal information from website visitors, mailing list subscribers, volunteers and hirers. This page describes the information we collect and how we use it. Our Data Protection registration information is given at the bottom of this page.

Mailing List

If you choose to sign up for our occasional mailing list we collect your name and email address to enable us to send emails to you. Before you are completely subscribed you need to respond to a confirmation email — this is to prevent other people being able to sign you up without your consent.

The email list is provided and managed by CampaignMonitor (a company based in Australia) on our behalf.

Each email will contain an unsubscription link. We do not sell, disclose or trade our email list. We may occasionally send information on behalf of other organisations when we believe that our subscribers would an interest in that information.

Web site appearance

The web site appearance may be changed using the icons at the top right to select from 3 different views, particularly for people with visual impairment

Should you select a particular view then a style cookie is set to record this.

Google Maps

The location page uses Google Maps to provide a map and directions service. Google Maps will set at least 2 cookies in the google.com domain - PREF and NID

Google Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. Google Analytics sets number of cookies (default is 4) in order to evaluate your use of the site and compile reports for us on activity on the site. We use this information to develop and improve the website.

Google stores the information collected by the cookie on servers in the United States. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google.

Google Inc are members of the US Safe Harbor Scheme. This scheme allows the transfer of data from within the EEA to countries that are outside of the EEA without having to enter into a specific data transfer agreement. Companies that sign up to the scheme are deemed to provide adequate protection for personal data transmitted from Europe. Web Server Logs

We do collect web server logs relating to this web site. These logs identify the internet IP address connecting to the site (but not necessarily the specific computer or user), as well as the time of day, the pages requested from the site and any web site link followed to our site (the referer information). This information is processed to give statistics on the number of visitors to the site, the most popular pages and similar information. However we are not able to tie any of this information to specific visitors

Volunteer and Hirer Information

Those that volunteer at the theatre, and people hiring the theatre facilities also provide personal information to the theatre to enable us to contact them; manage their use of the theatre and ensure their health and safety.

Data Protection Registration

As a non-profit organisation using data for our operational aims we are currently exempt from requiring a Data Protection registration.
